RL: Bulldogs coach Folkes' insight into cap scandal impact

2002 Bulldogs coach STEVE FOLKES says there were tears and stunned looks when he told
his players the finals-bound club was stripped of 37 premiership points for salary cap
breaches.

FOLKES has told the media what's facing the Melbourne players .. after league's greatest
salary cap scandal broke yesterday .. costing the Storm two premierships and all of this
year's competition points.

His team went from first on the ladder to last in one hit .. with three rounds to go
.. knowing the wooden spoon was just a formality.

FOLKES says Melbourne has to play 20 matches .. for little more than pride .. and may
have to contemplate pay cuts if they're to stay together.
