After weeks of sometimes caustic exchanges, the town supervisor candidates held their fire and instead touted themselves Wednesday in perhaps their final joint public appearance before Nov. 5.
Republican challenger Marvin LeRoy never once called Joseph Riley's fiscal policies misguided, or his claims of success exaggerated - themes he had touched on only a day before. Riley, the Democratic incumbent, never once accused his opponent of negative campaigning or of distorting his record - the usual answers to LeRoy's challenges.
