NT: Stone back in witnes box today

Liberal Party federal president SHANE STONE will continue testifying today in a court
challenge to his appointment of the Northern Territory's chief magistrate.

The North Australian Aboriginal Legal Aid Service is challenging the validity of HUGH
BRADLEY'S appointment in 1998 on a lucrative two-year contract.

Mr STONE, who was the chief minister and attorney-general who hand-picked Mr BRADLEY
for the job, told the Federal Court yesterday he didn't clearly recollect reading a letter
attached to a ministerial memo detailing the two-year term of his appointment.
